Our annual, sometimes semi-annual, GO (Get Organized) Event is a meaningful opportunity for members of Utah Professional Organizers (UPO) to give back to the community by donating their time, talents, and organizing expertise. This volunteer-driven event brings together our members to work on impactful projects that support individuals, families, and organizations across Utah.
Each year, the GO Event looks a little different—shaped by the needs of the community and the passions of our members. Past events have included teaching free classes on organizing basics, hosting community-wide shredding and donation drives to promote clutter-free living, and offering hands-on organizing support to local nonprofit organizations that serve vulnerable and underserved populations.
Whether we’re helping streamline a donation center, set up efficient systems for a shelter, or empowering individuals with tools to take control of their space, the GO Event is a chance to use our skills for something bigger. It’s one of the many ways UPO members come together to make a difference—one drawer, one closet, one life at a time.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City, which opened in 2015, offers 41 guest rooms located near treatment centers in the area.

Clever Octopus
Clever Octopus Inc ™ was a waste-based nonprofit that inspires creativity and environmental consciousness through the resale of high-quality, affordable thrifted art and craft materials and by offering educational art and science programming for all ages and communities.
Utah Professional Organizers went in and organized many shelves in different areas of the space, making it easier for consumers to find what they are looking for and making it possible for Clever Octopus to give to the community and promote the arts.

VOA HOP Program
UPO focused on organizing the supply storage warehouse for the Volunteers of America’s Homeless Outreach Program (HOP). Our goal was to create a streamlined, efficient space with clearly labeled zones and easy-to-access systems—ensuring the HOP team can quickly retrieve the essential items they need to support individuals experiencing homelessness.
